Hideo Kojima delivered another masterpiece,Metal Gear Solid 4 will forever be associated with the great Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy 7.
He hasn't played MGS4 yet.
Is the same moment every 8,3/4,and A- score meant absolutely nothing to me.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is the only game this gen that has accomplished both an amazing storyline and amazing gameplay.Period.
Well,I also feel I should mention the graphics in MGS4 have raised the bar...

Agreed ^ ,although Gran Turismo 5:Prologue and Uncharted are serious contenders for the present console King in terms of Graphics.
Yet I didn't mention anything to do with sales and I'm still going to be getting the 360 version on day 1.
And the PC version will,more than likely,run and look better due to more dev time.
But we all know,once GeOW 2 on PC arrives,it will be the superior version;more Dev time+Power=Improved Graphics,eliminated bugs,tweaks,etc
While both GeOW 1 and GeOW 2 look great,I think we're not seeing an amazing graphical leap from GeOW 1 to GeOW 2 due to what you've stated.
For 3rd party games that started/gained and maintained mass popularity from the Ps1/Ps2 to the day the Ps3 launched-Yes,I believe Sony should try to work out a deal with the publishers to maintain exclusivity of such titles,as the titles are what consumers associate with the Playstation brand and are what drive and boost console sales *Points at MGS4*.
Sony's first party studios are top notch,so unlike their direct competitor,they don't have to throw money around for exclusivity ...

Both the Ps1 and Ps2 didn't see MASSIVE,earth SHATTERING sales in their first 2 years,the real 'sweet spot' for both was after the big guns came out.It's kind of funny actually,if people took a minute and really thought about it;Neither the Ps2 nor Ps1 were guaranteed success until they started to show their real potential through revolutionary and genre defining games.

The fact that Commando 3 has a superior resolution and superior Frame Rate on the Playstation 3 is just that-Another fact.
This isn't the first game that looks and runs better on the Ps3.
I think the Playstation 3 is the perfect console for picking up gamer chicks.
I really think they need more dev time,the game just looks like an underwhelming experience.
Obviously,the present is Blu Ray,and the distant future-as in,5-8 years from now,Digital Downloads will be the norm.
Wait until Gran Turismo 5 comes out;Japan will be 'Sony land' again once Yamauchi delivers another excellent entry into the massively successful Playstation Exclusive that is Gran Turismo.
